Harvesting
From March through May, New Zealand’s weather begins to cool. That is when the harvest begins! The kiwifruit is selected, inspected, wrapped, and dispatched with care. The leaves on the vines then fall, signalling another growing season’s end. The new red-fleshed RubyRed will be picked first, followed by yellow- and green-fleshed types. The harvest season usually runs from mid-April until June.
